Oak Hill is one of thirteen villages in the City of Newton. It is situated on a landform and one of seven elevations within Newton. Oak Hill Park is a section of Oak Hill Village which was first established in 1948, and officially dedicated on May 21, 1950 for veterans who came home from the war. It began with six models of the cottage style homes. Streets, as well as paths, are named after Newton citizens who had died in WWII. Though most of the original homes have been modified or replaced, Oak Hill Park still maintains a sense of history within the City of Newton.
